Thoughts to ponder upon
In the Dreamtime continuum, all life is sentient and potentially available for us to interact with. Tribal Aboriginal people go through several levels of initiation over the course of their life whereby secrets of the Dreaming are gradually revealed to them, with simple mythos taking on ever deeper meanings over time. The mythic stories tend to reveal deep ethics of environmental care. (To learn more of the Aboriginal way of conveying wisdom I highly recommend the book Treading Lightly.)

News from around the Academy
In organising open day at Jacaranda Haven on 12th February, I have been in touch with so many country people from Cessnock to Tamworth, from Forster to Taree. It is amazing to hear what they have been doing in their community. In Taree, they have a Men’s Shed where the men (mostly retired) collected recycled timber and other bits and pieces and built wheelchairs for children who had lost their legs when stepping on a land mine. I was on the phone to Jan Paton, an affiliate of the Academy for many years, who said the people of Forster have a Women’s Shed where at least 50 per cent of the attendees are Aboriginal.
Together they look at the problems of their community, particularly violence in the home. Jan, and about 10 others, work with life-sized puppets and take them around to tell stories to children. It is a wonderful way of teaching.
The meditation groups are thriving and holistic services are plentiful. The country is alive and full of light!

Monday nights are a wonderful powerful opportunity for all of us to unwind, recharge, relax and rejuvenate. Come and feed your soul through restful meditation and be inspired by our gifted speakers.
The Academy meets every Monday night (except public holidays) at St John’s Uniting Church Hall, cnr of Yeo Street and Barry Street, Neutral Bay. Enter off Barry Street. Session starts 7:30pm. Entry Fee: $15, concession available.

ALANNA MOORE – SENSITIVE PERMACULTURE

It is proving to be a wonderful eventful day. Do come along and join in the fun.
Speaking of fun have a look at the zuccini’s that our vegetable patch grew – when we arrived at Jacaranda Haven on Australia Day – (John and I are only up here on weekends and holidays) they had turned into zucca’s! They are wonderful sliced, dipped in flour and fried lightly in a little bit of oil. I think we should make one a Door Prize at an Academy meeting in Neutral Bay.
After reading Alanna’s latest book when she mentions seeing Jinka (a fairy) in her garden and how she worked with them, I have been putting out an offering to them and have been more conscious of the Devas when working in the vegetable patch. Perhaps we can all help beat inflation and the rising cost of vegetables by growing our own. See if there is a community garden near you – if not, why not start one?

Rosemary Butterworth – UNIVERSAL AWARENESS COURSE
2nd March – 20th April
This course is for those who are sincere about increasing their level of awareness and consciousness. It is for those people who love the Light and are prepared to practice a few minutes each day to connect to All That Is.
Tips and guidelines will be given each week to reduce the ‘hubbub’ in the mind. You will be shown how the Lower Mind drags you in with its negativity and how not to believe a word it tells you.
There will be a meditation each night that will lift your spirits and leave you nicely energized for the week ahead. Gradually you will learn not to be distracted by the tricks and antics of your Lower Mind (ego).

Elaine Croker – PRIME TUNING OF CELLS

Elaine Croker, also author of Talk To your Cells, discovered in the early 1990s that your cells are intelligent. In a quest to find a cure for her dying children, impaired by a rare genetic disease, Elaine uncovered a system by which she could talk to the cells as an intelligent life force. Elaine healed all four children and embarked on a mission to the development of a healing practice called “The Prime Tuning Of Cells” (AVAILABLE THROUGH THE ACADEMY – $15).
“PRIME TUNING OF CELLS is a form of energetic healing which works through the emotions via the subconscious mind of the client’s frontal brain. I have observed and documented hundreds of Cell Balances by Elaine with clients and each one never fails to amaze me with the precision of the channelling. After a Cell Balance, many clients have reported a range of improvements, from minor aches to chronic pain. Some specific examples I have observed that were cleared, include conditions such as: ulcers, vertigo, headache and pain.
