Comet ISON – Metaphysical / Spiritual Heart Awakening

Mark de Berardinis was speaking at Neutral Bay on Monday night and it was a very interactive night. One of the things that Mark said resonated with me deeply. He suggested that if we smile whilst we are in mediation or a healing space it increased the energy ten fold. I’m sure like me you have had the experience where you spontaneously smile in a meditation because of the energy that is coming through. The glow and expansion that follows is blissful isn’t it!
If we continue this theory on, when we are going through our day to day lives, we cannot help but to go up the spiral to a more positive existence and take everyone around us up for the ride as well.

HEALTH – HAPPINESS
Neuropsychologist Dr. Rick Hanson, author of Buddha’s Brain, says “taking in the good’ each day trains the brain to turn transient positive moments into something more long lasting and gradually sensitises the brain to positive experiences. It’s extremely important for us to actually take a little extra time – half a dozen times day, roughly – to help ordinary positive experiences sink in, otherwise they wash through the brain like water through a sieve.”
He says there are four steps to embedding the good in the brain, with each step producing the acronym HEAL.
H – Have a positive experience. Notice a good experience; a physical pleasure, feeling, sense of determination.
E – Enrich it. Stay with that positive experience for 5 to 10 seconds or longer to let it fill you mind.
A – Absorb it. Let the experience sink in or “really land in your mind”, so it soothes you.
L – Link positive and negative material. Be aware of a negative experience while feeling the positive one. If a dark thought hijacks your attention, focus on the positive feeling and try to let go of the negative.
Regularly reflecting on the brighter side of life hard-wires happiness into our brain and we feel happy no matter what.

A Fascinating Journey Through the Therapeutic &
Consciousness Expanding Powers of Sound with John Butterworth
On this evening, John will take us on a whirlwind trip through the extraordinary world of vocal and instrumental sound. He will demonstrate intuitive vocal scanning of another’s physical & energy fields as one method of sound ‘healing’, and also teach us an ancient Tibetan system to activate the principal chakra centres. He will demonstrate the use of a variety of exotic instruments from various traditions to promote healing and consciousness – expansion, and you will have the opportunity to try some of these out for yourself. The evening will conclude with a ‘gong bath’ featuring giant gongs during which you are welcome to lie down and bliss out! So bring a blanket!
