F.Y.I. – It is “Love in Action” again!
As we said last week, it is not always what it seems’, who was uplifted by the coming together of the community of Clapham in London, sweeping the streets clean and caring for each other after the riots. Who felt their hearts open as they read or heard about the 80 year old barber being gifted over 20,000 pounds from the community to re-open his shop.

BUS ACCIDENT IN CHITTAGONG, BANGLADESH KILLS 42 STUDENTS.
The principle of the school wrote to Mark Wentworth (whom the Academy hosted several years ago) asking for help with the staff and students who are suffering with grief and trauma. One of the great things about the principle is he knows that theatre and drama are a great way to help these children and adults to work with their grief. He writes that in one class alone they lost 12 students, the children who did survive do not know how to cope with the depth of feeling of loss and survivor’s guilt they feel, school is no longer a joyful place to be.
Mark Wentworth has this wonderful project to take Dynamic Theatre and other creative arts and therapies out into parts of the world where this kind of work is not normally available. For more information go to www.dynamicheartproject.com.
So Mark’s and the children need our help. He said if 350 people donated $20 the team could go and help these children. He already has had donations from Shanghai and Siberia and I feel that the community of Australia may like to help too.

GRATITUDE for all that we are given.
Last Thursday I was invited by Maggie Hamilton of Allen and Unwin to an Inspired Living conference. A lot of their authors were there speaking about their new books. I learnt so much from them as they shared with us their journey to the Light. And what amazing journeys they were. When it is possible, timing wise, we will have them speak at the Academy. One author in particular is Dr. Libby Weaver, a beautiful young woman, a caring scientist who has been working with children with autism. Libby has written a book called Accidentally Overweight? which only came out last weekend. 
I got a copy and I think it is the most amazing and enlightening book, so much so, I ordered copies for The Academy to sell. It explains in very simple terms why we don’t loose weight, what causes the weight to go in the first place and it seems to me that knowing that, is all we need to come to our perfect weight.
It is definitely not about diet and exercise although she does say that exercise is important just as sunshine is.
It will be scanned and added to our website academyoflight.net.au/Shopping/Browseproducts list asap and if you want us to post you a copy don’t forget to add $10 for postage. We will also have it at Monday Night meetings with our other books etc.

Neutral Bay Monday Nights
ALL WELCOME – ENJOY LOVE, LIGHT & LAUGHTER
Monday nights are a wonderful, powerful opportunity for all of us to unite, send Light and Love to our family, those in need and especially ourselves. The evening always begins with a meditation followed by a speaker. See below for the next two weeks topics.
The Academy meets every Monday night (except public holidays) at St John’s Uniting Church Hall, cnr of Yeo Street and Barry Street, Neutral Bay. Enter off Barry Street. Session starts 7:30pm. Entry Fee: $15, concession $10.

My Journey Into Alchemy – Monica Erosa
My work as a graphic designer helped me find the skill of telling a history in a single image. My spiritual knowledge have been constantly evolving since 1988 through studies of most eastern philosophies, workshops, meditation, hypnosis, reading hundreds of new age inspirational and self-development books, and of course, workshops. Simultaneously, I started to study archetypes and the influence of those in the unconscious mind, represented by ancient symbolism, sacred geometry and merkaba I selected the symbols with the attributes that I needed to incorporate in to my life experience at a particular time. And I found that in that way I was actually co-creating my new reality, “Alchemy”.
My images come from both deliberate mind as a way of graphically express a new state of awareness, as well from images channelled in trance meditation.I started painting as a child and have been producing inspirational art since 2003.
My art is now being released for sale and I will have some of it with me tonight. It will be available on line, and in select shows and galleries as originals, archival reproductions, and prints. To see my work go to http://monicaerosa.com.au/
