FYI – Make a Difference
There are so many examples in our society where individuals have made or are making a difference. This week we’d like to share with you a few examples of individuals or groups who are making their actions count.
Courage To Care is a not for profit organisation that, with the help of volunteers, presents travelling exhibitions in NSW and Victoria to educate and inform Australians about prejudice and discrimination. It educates visitors towards an understanding of the roles of victim, perpetrator and bystander by exposing them to survivors of the Holocaust and their rescuers. One of the survivors has built what has been called a “Scale of Care” to fully enable people to understand how just one person can make a difference and if others join in to help who knows what the results could be! The scales are weighed down on one side with brightly coloured squares, rectangles and spheres, bearing words such as persecution, victimisation, racism, bullying and the like. The idea is for visitors to put pressure on the other side to support the empty tray and balance the scales. Go to www.couragetocare.com.au to find out where you can see the exhibition. P.S. This site can help teachers and students alike with not only historical information but also the exhibition very much relates to bullying in our current society and what we can do to combat it.

As you are all aware we love TED Talks. The variety is amazing. “To This Day” … for the bullied and beautiful is both funny and sad at the same time. Poet Shane Koyczan puts his finger on the pulse of what it’s like to be young and … different. “To This Day,” his spoken-word poem about bullying is a great way of standing up and being heard but more than that he is bringing awareness to bullying it will make a difference. Coal Seam Gas is a contentious issue which has been sold as the cleaner, greener carbon fuel, but is coal seam gas as clean as it claims and has the multi- billion dollar industry been honest with the public? Matthew Carney reported on a recent Four Corners program on the subject and we have to say it had us all talking! The lower part of Queensland has already been effected (although you won’t get anyone in the industry admitting to it). The area of Gloucester in the Manning Valley is in danger of having the same happen to it. You have to ask at what cost? The local people are coming together in the hope that they will be able to make a difference. Recently in Sydney they wanted to encroach on the outskirts of our urban area. Thankfully that has been stopped for now but what about our water basin, not to mention all of those people living in the country! We encourage you to watch Gas Leak!. In and Around the Academy

The feedback we received from Monday Night when John gave us two sessions of the gongs and I interacted with John during the meditation, helping people to release discordant energies, was, “when can we have it again”. It was such a different use of sound – to use it to bring our energies into harmony. We asked Noel Jordan to dowse what percentage the group had of discordant energy and it was 60%. Afterwards, when he dowsed there was none.
We toned together at the end of the night – in near perfect harmony. Many people shared their experience. One lady said to me that she awoke the next morning with no backache and ready for the day. So watch out for our next date. You might like to suggest what the group can clear next time. Is it to be a chakra or a part of the body or the environment? Let us know you priority.
We also handed out flyers of KaVeeTa’s forth coming visit (29th April – bookings are advisable as the hall only holds 40 people). On the flyer is a picture of her and SuNEiL. The picture has been encoded with energy and when you put your hands over it, you can feel warmth emanating from it. We will handing out the flyers the next two weeks.

HEALTH – The importance of the Liver
There is one road into the liver and five pathways out of it. Liver pathways also require particular nutrients to function, in particular, specific amino acids and sulphur.
Really think about this next statement: Whatever we eat becomes part of us. (I would like to add – whatever we think also becomes part of us…Rosemary). The protein foods you eat are broken down into amino acids, and one of the things they go on to create is all of the cells of your immune system, which is what defends you from infection. Amino acids also create the neurotransmitters in your brain that influence your mood and clarity of thought. They also build your muscles so that you can carry anything and everything. I was told today that the function of the liver was to clear, cleanse and distribute the emotions to where they belong (probably the muscles). If you go to bed intoxicated then when the liver is ‘turned on’ to do its work, then the alcohol muddles the liver function and sends things to the wrong places. Also when you spend time planning – that is stored in the liver. Also the liver is connected to the eyes. So if you want to see things as they really are keep your liver clean.
The liver loaders are: Alcohol, caffeine, trans fats, sugars, including fructose and sucrose, synthetics substances such as pesticides, medications, skin care and infection.
Wow! How important is it to have a clear, clean liver.
