Valerie Barrow – 25th March

It has been a privilege and absolute pleasure to have had Valerie Barrow come to the Academy on 25th March. The Grand Hall was well filled with people interested in hearing more about our origins. Valerie has written three books with the fourth one on the way and is a sought after speaker transmitting messages from guides like Cosmic Sai Baba and Andromeda Val.
She shared her life’s journey with us and how it all got started when she had a Near Death Experience which made her a different person. It became clear to her that she has a mission to fulfil this time on Earth. After being ‘tested’ for 2 years she started to receive messages during the night that she would pass on to others.
When she visited the hieroglyph rock carvings in Kariong NSW she had a vivid past life memory reliving the moment that she was on board of a Star ship that crashed into the Earth, coming here to bring more light to the Earth. The many people that started coming to Valerie after this experience wanting a regression, all were part of this event and had a piece of the puzzle of what really happened all this time ago. Eventually this resulted in the book Alcheringa.
More recently Valerie started to connect with her ‘oversoul’ self Andromda Val 6000 years into the future. On the night she connected with her and gave us a brief message in her language.
She also showed us many pictures taken from orbs, Pleiadian ships. It was interesting that when she talked about the colour magenta, suddenly the lights in the Grand Hall changed into that colour! Magenta is the colour for telepathy she explained.
At the end there were many questions asked about what would happen in our near future. Valerie’s answer was that if we would like the Star People to show themselves and help us we need to pray and make them feel welcome. Valerie also told us that we are protected. There won’t be any big asteroids allowed to crash into the earth and they have stepped in to avoid any nuclear explosions. If we come from a place of love and not of fear we will create the future that we would like to have.

‘PREPARING FOR THE 5^TH DIMENSION’ with Rosemary & John Butterworth

We are very happy to celebrate the return of 2 of the Academy’s founders: Rosemary & John Butterworth.
Rosemary will speak of the times ahead and the guidance she has received “…to prepare the people” plus will perform an energy balance for all present. She will also bring forth any angelic messages for which she is well-known.
John will treat us to one of his renowned healing and consciousness-expanding ‘gong baths’ by playing his giant Chinese gongs – preceded by a surprise meditative sound duet with another renowned performer!
If you choose, you can bring a blanket and cushion if you would like to lie down but it will only be a short session.
Rosemary and John Butterworth are 2 of the small group that founded The Southern Cross Academy of Light in 1995 as a direct outcome of Rosemary’s extraordinary earlier meeting in rainforest on Maui in Hawaii with Archangel Michael who directed her (inter alia) to “…create a space where like-minded people interested in spirituality could gather”.
As Rosemary and John started to prepare to move permanently to ‘Jacaranda Haven’ (their 34ha country home) in recent years, the Academy was re-structured and re-named ‘Academy of Light Inc’. At ‘Jacaranda Haven’ at Dyers Crossing within the NSW Lower Mid-North Coast, Rosemary continues to counsel people and provide spiritual healing both in her dedicated healing room and by ‘phone, and is currently writing a revised edition of her wonderful book: ‘ How to Move Forward, and Leave your Thoughts Behind’. John is active running the small farming enterprise which produces an annual boutique crop of Giant Russian Garlic sold both online and by farmgate sales (www.farmhousedirect.com.au/jacarandahaven), running private classes in garden/landscape design, planning the design & construction of ‘Jacaranda Studio’ as a multi-purpose teaching/event space, performing periodic gong/sound events, and devising a staged program of urban design improvements to the nearby town of Nabiac.

Rosemary Butterworth
Just like her mother and grandmother before her, Rosemary is naturally clairaudient, clairvoyant and clairsentient and continually uses these remarkable talents to provide counselling, healing and spiritual guidance to her clients both in the healing room at ‘Jacaranda Haven’ or in Sydney, and/or over the phone. She is a founder of The Southern Cross Academy of Light and the author of the highly-acclaimed book ’How To Move Forward and Leave Your Thoughts Behind’ for which a revised edition is being currently written. She conducts regular seminars in spiritual guidance and meditation. Her other passion is gardening – following in her mother’s footsteps who had a large, prize-winning showgarden: ‘Jacaranda Haven’ is renowned for its wonderful extensive gardens.

John Butterworth

John is a qualified landscape architect & horticulturist, a farmer of Giant Russian Garlic, and a sound performer & therapist/musician who is mainly known these days for his playing of the giant Chinese and Balinese gongs. In 2000, he conceived and facilitated the unique event ‘Bathed in Sound’ for several years which combined the labyrinth of Chartres Cathedral with harmonic/overtone chanting (The Peace Choir) and gongs for up to 100 people at a time in a candle-lit setting of the Grand Hall at Mosman Art Gallery & Community Centre. In the 1990’s, he created and ran the ‘Sacred Sound’ program of sound meditation events & weekend workshops held throughout NSW, plus Hong Kong, Boulder USA, and at the Findhorn Foundation in Scotland. In the field of landscape architecture & urban design, he headed his own design office for 13 years until transferring to local government in 1997 where he managed building/fit-out/public domain projects until leaving in 2017 to live full-time at ‘Jacaranda Haven’.
