IMPORTANT NEWS AT THE ACADEMY
After 22 yrs of devoted service through the Southern Cross Academy of Light / Academy of Light, and 12 years of weekly commutes to their farm, Rosemary and John Butterworth will be permanently relocating to their beloved Jacaranda Haven in August. I am reluctant to call it retirement, as I know they will continue to be active and working there. Peggy Stevens, the friendly face on Monday nights at the door, who has been a wonderful long term support for “The Academy”, will also be retiring from her activities.
This leaves some big shoes to fill, if the work of The Academy is to continue. The Academy of Light is currently registered as a Not For Profit organization and we need volunteers to assist with the newsletter, administrative tasks etc for it to remain viable. Alternatively the organization could be transitioned to a private business.

We will be holding a special event at the meeting on Mon 21 August to farewell John & Rosemary, and their last night in Sydney, details to follow.

Sharing Sacred Activism in Australia’s Kimberley with Louise Gilmore
On the recent winter solstice, eight women and four men, along with Aboriginal Elders from several tribal groups, placed a Tibetan Vase filled with prayers and precious objects into a cave on tribal lands near the famous Bungle Bungle formations – known to the traditional owners as Purnululu.
This journey, filled with extraordinary spiritual and vibrational experiences, encounters with spirits of the land, Cosmic beings and discussions/teachings with the Elders, was guided by Grandmother wisdom – the most powerful energy there is. The intention, held in the hearts of everyone there, was to support transformation to peace and healing in the world through conscious action in the subtle realms.
This Earth Treasure Vase created a portal where the song lines of this country joined a great mandala of energetic lines dedicated to peace and healing for the Earth. Tonight I’ll invite you to understand more about subtle or sacred activism through the story of this journey and join me in a guided meditation to strengthen the Songlines of Love and Healing.

Starseeds with Melissa Mathews
Rosemary blessed us with a beautiful opening meditation, with a special emphasis on the colour red and The Holy Spirit. Then over to Melissa Mathews to talk about Starseeds, a popular topic as a good number attended and took advantage of Melissa’s invitation to ask questions and make it an interactive discussion.
A lot was raised so I will keep the description to points for the sake of space :
