The Age of We Need Each Other

Fifteen years ago when I began writing books, I had high hopes that someday I would be “discovered” and that “my message” would thereby reach millions of people and change the world for the better.
That ambition began to disintegrate soon after, when after years of labor The Ascent of Humanity found no takers in the publishing world. So I self-published, still hoping that word-of-mouth would propel it to best-seller status. That would show all those publishers! I remember looking at the sales numbers in August 2007 – its fifth month, about the time it should have been gaining momentum. Total sales that month: five copies. Around the same time I was evicted from my apartment (having pinned all my hopes and income on the book) and spent the next half year living temporarily in other people’s houses, children in tow.
It was a painful yet beautiful clarifying experience that asked me, “Why are you doing this work? Is it because you hope to become a celebrated intellectual? Or do you really care about serving the healing of the world?” The experience of failure revealed my secret hopes and motivations.

MELISSA MATTHEWS – STAR SEEDS – WHY ARE THEY HERE.

Star Seeds are Universal Beings who choose to live here on Earth. Whether one consciously identifies as a Star Seed or not, Star Seeds are keenly aware of the effect we as humankind have on ourselves, the Earth and Universe as a whole.
Born with an innate sense of knowing and purpose, Star Seeds are highly intelligent and are naturally drawn towards vocations supporting humankind such as advocacy, health and the environment, using their natural sense of justice and service to benefit others. At times, they may feel misunderstood or a sense of displacement, so naturally they do well by being with likeminded people, allowing them to feel supported as they make their way through this World.
Tonight, Melissa openly shares her perspective on the topic of Star Seeds and her personal journey, to help you understand we are all Divinely connected.
Melissa Matthews
From early childhood, Melissa’s connection with the Heavenly Realms, including her abilities were evident to those around her and, she knew there would come a time when she was to speak openly of her experience and share her knowledge. In recent years, Melissa has been guided to various people and courses in an effort to assist with articulating concepts well known to her such as Sacred Geometry, Universal Law, Star Seeds and Star Beings, Light Codes and Frequencies to name a few.
Melissa says “as a child I knew things about people: I’d look at them and in an instant I’d see and know everything about them. I was shown many things and it’s important for you to understand whatever I’m shown, it is with benevolence, which means with love rather than judgement, which is how those in the Heavenly Realms see.
I left home at the age of 15 and spent many years experiencing life. There were some really challenging times such as unhealthy relationships, single parenthood, cancer, depression, anxiety and loneliness, all of which I endured as I thought that was how life was. It wasn’t until late 2015, that I became motivated enough to re-establish my spiritual connection allowing it to be consistent”.
Fast forward to now and, although I can and have used my gifts for readings and mediumship, I’m guided to empower people through teaching… you see, one of my abilities is that I can see what you see, so it makes it easier to pinpoint and bring through information to assist you as you’re learning about your natural intuitive abilities; style of meditation and other juicy stuff allowing you to live life proactively…. pretty cool, huh?

Heartfelt thanks to those who came tonight with the intention to give rather than receive. We have all heard the saying “‘It is more blessed to give than to receive” ( Acts 20:35 for the Bible scholars), but tonight we didn’t have to choose as we got to do both.
Rosemary started by giving us all a chakra check and clear if required, and Julia was able to describe the different colours that came through with the clearings. She then treated us to her crystal harp which is becoming a favourite and we hope to have her playing more often.
Master Robyn reminded us that Forgiveness and Love for Ourselves is a prerequisite to being able to show Forgiveness and Love to others. So we softly chanted “I Forgive Myself, I Love Myself” until the words soaked in and took effect. Which lead us into the space where Master Robyn guided us through our Peace meditation. Just 15min, but so profound thanks to the preparation. The goal is to have one Billion people meditating for 15 min a day and chanting “Love, Peace and Harmony”. Wouldn’t that change the World !
So would you like to be part of the Billion ?
Master Robyn then offered a special blessing to Rosemary in recognition of all her years of service and recited a beautiful chant in Mandarin that was 78 lines long. That’s dedication, if Mandarin is not your first language. We were then each individually blessed and gifted a CD of “Love, Peace & Harmony”.
Everyone felt profoundly at Peace by the time we had finished and we return Love to Master Robyn for her generous blessings and leading the service.

IMPORTANT NEWS AT THE ACADEMY
After 22 yrs of devoted service through the Southern Cross Academy of Light / Academy of Light, and 12 years of weekly commutes to their farm, Rosemary and John Butterworth will be permanently relocating to their beloved Jacaranda Haven in August. I am reluctant to call it retirement, as I know they will continue to be active and working there. Peggy Stevens, the friendly face at the door, who has been a wonderful long term support for “The Academy”, will also be retiring from her activities.
This leaves some big shoes to fill, if the work of The Academy is to continue. The Academy of Light is currently registered as a Not For Profit organization and we need volunteers to assist with the newsletter, administrative tasks etc for it to remain viable. Alternatively the organization could be transitioned to a private business.
