Daniel Goleman has some interesting observations of how good people have often simply ‘switched off’ and are oblivious to other’s needs and what is going on around them. How sometimes we get into a ‘suburban trance’ and not notice when someone had collapsed from hunger on the footpath. This TED talk is just over 13 minutes and is both amusing and insightful! ABC TV’s Compass program on the creation of the Centennial Park Labyrinth, will be broadcast this Sunday 26th April at 6.30pm.
World Labyrinth Day is Saturday, 2nd May. Come at 12.45pm to ‘Walk as One at 1pm’ and be part of a rolling wave of community walks around the planet as each time zone celebrates the labyrinth as a symbol for healing and peace. Facilitated by Emily Simpson.

Only the brave and perhaps fool-hearty turned up on Monday Night. The heavens had opened and the rain bucketed down, the wind was cyclone strength but it wasn’t enough to keep us away from hearing what Universal Subconsciousness (US) (brought through Vicky O’Leary) had to say to us. “Keys to the Homecoming” was the theme and ‘homecoming’ referred to us acknowledging and accepting who we are – Divine Beings of Light.One trailblazing moment was when US asked us all to stand still and imagine ourselves walking into the Divine Consciousness. It was a mind altering moment and then, we were asked to walk around the room, not as our former selves but as the Divine Being that we are. It was such a powerful moment. I am sure we will all remember what that felt like.
I am so thrilled that Caitlin Walsh is back in Australia, even though it is only for a couple of weeks. Two years ago when she was here, I had the most amazing session with her as she removed the pain from my lower back. Now she is here again I am looking to what else I have created that ‘spirit’ has sent her to help me with. I am overjoyed to have her assistance in restoring my health. She would be the most incredible instant healer I have ever met. For those people that are in the country and interstate – Caitlin successfully does distant healing.

Health – Hugs for Health
Hugging therapy is definitely a powerful way of healing. Research shows that hugging (and also laughter) is extremely effective at healing sickness, disease, loneliness, depression, anxiety and stress.
There is a saying by Virginia Satir, a respected family therapist, “We need four hugs a day for survival. We need eight hugs a day for maintenance. We need twelve hugs a day for growth.” Eight or more might seem quite high, but while researching and writing this article I asked my child, “How many hugs a day do you like?” She said, “I’m not going to tell you how many I like, but it’s way more than eight.” That really made me smile and touched my heart. And, I realized how organic and deep the need for hugs is.
