Last event: Anick Patry
On Monday 8th July our guest presenter was Anick Patry, an Inspirational Speaker, Transformational Leader and Voice Healer. Her story is one of overcoming adversity, recognising life teachings and transforming oneself and one’s life.
She shared with us her story of a traumatic and life-altering experience, which took her to the brink of death. Her whole world turned upside down when her health failed in a sudden and shocking manner. Only 24 hours after arriving in Bali for a holiday, Anick suffered a burst abscess in her abdomen. She was taken by ambulance to a hospital and the doctors told her she wasn’t going to make it. She lost 20 kilograms in a week, was unable to walk and had to have life-saving surgery. During a month-long stay in hospital she lost more weight and was very weak, needing a walker for mobility. She says she was like a ninety year old. With her family a world away in Canada, she found herself reaching out to her community in Sydney.
The whole experience taught her to honour herself and hold herself in compassion. She found the way through adversity to get her life and health back.
There was no controlling the situation, so she learned to let go. She told us how she placed her trust in the nurses and doctors. Once she got out of hospital, she didn’t have the strength to do ordinary things like showering, shopping or cooking, so she learned to ask for what she needed and her friends and neighbours were there for her. She encourages us to reach out to others in our lives. We have been taught to do it alone. When, in fact, we have people around us who we can call on for assistance and we have the spiritual realm. We don’t have to suffer alone.
Anick also believes we need to open our hearts and be open to receiving love from others. If we have resistance to receiving, we only end up sabotaging ourselves she says. During her illness and recuperation Anick had to look for small, simple things to appreciate like sitting in the sun with a friend or celebrating a small victory. |

Anick channels Light Language and uses voice as a method of healing. She finished her presentation by channelling a beautiful and powerful heart-opening song which activated our heart chakras, while Paulien was supporting her by playing a crystal bowl. Amanda Ellis gives us a detailed explanation of what is happening to the earth in terms of earthquakes, political changes and life changes from now until 2020/22 and how we as light workers can assist the earth and work with the earth energies. This is a must watch video if you want to understand what is happening and how not to live in fear.
