Astrologist, Jungian psychologist, author and pilgrimage guide, Gerry Taylor- Wood shared her mystical experiences and insights into the Divine Feminine during her talk at the Academy last week.
Gerry is the co-founder of the Grail Haven Healing Sanctuary on Mt Tamborine in Queensland. Gerry was guided to Grail Haven after receiving a life changing vision at Chalice Well in Glastonbury, England. She was told to go to Australia to find a sacred well and to get the water to the people. Today, water from the Grail Haven springs is given to people from all around the world.
Gerry was also ‘instructed’ to work with plant and flower devas, birthing 38 flower essences from the gardens. Details can be found in the book “Grail Haven – The Journey to a Sacred Well”.
Since then, Gerry and her husband have established two more Grail Haven healing sanctuaries, one in Glastonbury, England on the Michael ley line, and the other in the Languedoc area in southern France. For over twenty years they have run “Sacred Sites Journeys” in both regions.
Gerry told the story of Mary Magdalene and her connection to the sacred Divine Feminine. According to legend, Mary Magdalene was exiled to southern France after the persecution of Jesus. Magdalene arrived by boat with two other Marys. Today this site is known as Saintes Maries-de-la–Mer, and holds the amazing, annual Gypsy Festival.
The Cathars, who were victims of the First Crusade, believed that Mary Magdalene was the wife of Jesus and they had a child. She was pregnant when she escaped to southern France and went to live in Sainte Baume where she spent the rest of her life in the Cave of Solitude area preaching and healing in the Provence.
There is a local worship of Saint Sara, a statue of a girl proposed to be the daughter of Mary Magdalene and Jesus in the book by Margaret Starbird “ The Woman with the Alabaster Jar”.
The Templars and other groups such as the Masons kept the belief of the Cathars alive. It was protected as a secret by worshiping the Black Madonna as Mary Magdalene or the Holy Grail holding the child or the blood-line of Christ.
According to estimates, there are over 500 Black Madonnas in Europe alone, mostly Byzantine icons and statues in Catholic and Orthodox countries. The title given to Black Madonnas is ‘Our Lady’ rather than the Virgin Mary. The statues of the Black Madonnas miraculously appear in caves, mountains, wells, by the sea and in nature.

Shamanic Awakening with One Tribe Healing: Connect With Your Spirit Guides
You are all light workers doing your bit to raise the vibration of the planet. Never underestimate your contribution towards that, never doubt the impact your light has on the web. In the shamanic tradition, as in most pathways, there is a strong awareness of the interconnectedness of life. What we feel, think and do affects the entire web.
In this session we will reconnect to the purity of our personal spiritual team (referred to as our spirit guides in the shamanic tradition). We will reassess them, perhaps call in new guides to take us to the next level and even release spirit guides who do not have our absolute best interests at heart. We will connect our light and those of our guides with everyone else in the room creating a field of love we can all bathe in. Together, in service, we can then expand that out to touch those in need, to help rebalance our ecosystem and to bring peace to those affected by the traumas of recent times.
