R. Ogilvie Crombie (ROC) had a remarkable and life-changing experience in the Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh.  In the remaining 10 years of his life ROC had many more encounters with nature spirits.  Very nearly lost to us, these precious accounts of these meetings have been compiled and published here for the very first time.
